Angela N. Botticella is chief of staff of the Catholic Health Association of the United States (CHA). She is located in the association's Washington, D.C., office.

Prior to joining CHA, she was principal deputy director of the Office of Intergovernmental and External Affairs at the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services in the Office of the Secretary in Washington, D.C. from 2015-2017. Her responsibilities included engaging state and local governments, health care providers, advocacy groups and other stakeholders in health reform implementation, Medicaid and other national health policy initiatives. She previously served as director of external affairs and as director of consumer outreach in the same office.

From 2011-2013, Ms. Botticella was the executive director of Know Your Care/Protect Your Care, a 501(c)(3)/(c)(4) dedicated to the education and protection of the Affordable Care Act. Her primary responsibility was the coordination of over 100 health care related organizations in communications efforts, field work and overall engagement strategies. In 2010, she was campaign manager for former U.S. Representative Betsy Markey's congressional campaign in Colorado's competitive 4th Congressional District. She has engaged in numerous campaigns including as the statewide field director for President Obama's 2008 election in Florida and in other federal, state and local elections in key states such as Florida, Pennsylvania, New Hampshire, Rhode Island and California.

Ms. Botticella has a bachelor of arts in liberal studies from San Diego State University.
