Sr. Judith Ann Karam voted next CHA chairperson
Sr. Judith Ann Karam, CSA, was elected vice chairperson/chairperson-elect of the CHA Board of Trustees by unanimous vote at the June 24 membership assembly, which convened during the Catholic Health Assembly here. Sr. Karam will be installed as CHA chair at the 2015 Catholic Health Assembly in Washington, D.C.

CHA to offer formation program for sponsors beginning in 2015
Beginning in fall 2015, CHA will offer a four-session, in-depth "Sponsor Formation Program for Catholic Health Care" to prepare people for a sponsorship role in the Catholic health ministry and to advance the capabilities of sitting sponsors.

Zero-interest loan program gives SSM patients options
Corey Bowman is a sales representative who believes firmly in his product. Bowman, 29, is a team leader in customer service at SSM Health Care in St. Louis. In March, the system began offering interest-free payment plans through Commerce Bank, a Midwestern regional company, to help patients cover deductibles, co-pays and other medical expenses, and Bowman was among the early applicants.
