The Risks and Benefits of AI in Healthcare for Persons with Disabilities — A We Are Called Webinar

Relative to other groups for whom the risk of bias in artificial intelligence (AI) in healthcare contexts has been identified, little attention has been given to the potential harms, and distinct benefits, that AI technologies could bring about for persons with disabilities. In this conversation, Dr. Reynolds will discuss a number of risks, including underrepresentation, discrimination, and faulty constructs, before turning to discuss benefits, including the most promising: improving information about and connection to services that mitigate the health disparities faced by those who are disabled.
