A transformative three-day journey with Catholic health ministry colleagues
Sept. 30 – Oct. 2, 2026
Space is limited.
Day 1 - 12 p.m. to 8 p.m.
Day 2 - 8 a.m. to 9 p.m.
Day 3 - 8 a.m. to 12 p.m.
The Catholic Health Association is partnering with Catholic Mobilizing Network to offer a three‑day civil rights pilgrimage for leaders in the Catholic health ministry. The purpose of the pilgrimage is to reflect on the issue of racism and promote healing justice.
Participants will deepen their understanding of:
- The relationship between the nation's past and modern‑day systems of inequity, particularly related to the criminal legal system.
- How the Church, its leadership, and its laity are called to be ministers of reconciliation.
- Ways in which the Church and its members can play a more active role in truth‑telling and advance meaningful efforts that move our ministries, communities, Church, and country forward.
Pre and Post Trip Calls
Sept. 2 | 2 p.m. ET
Nov. 12 | 2 p.m. ET
Opportunities to connect with fellow pilgrims, both before and after the journey, are integral to the pilgrimage experience. During the Sept. 2 call, participants will introduce themselves and share their hopes and expectations for our time together. Following the trip, we will reconvene on Nov. 12 to reflect on the experience, its impact and any new insights or ideas it has inspired.
CHA will process registrations for the pre/post trip webinars for all those registered for the pilgrimage; access links will be sent out upon processing.
CMN has led this pilgrimage for many Catholic groups, including bishops, most recently welcoming six U.S. bishops who participated during Lent earlier this year.
Their reflections offer a powerful witness to the impact of the experience.
