Accessing healthcare is rarely as simple as seeking care. Public policy research indicates that complex processes, paperwork and other administrative requirements do not affect everyone equally, often creating greater challenges for marginalized groups, limiting access to healthcare while exacerbating other inequalities. This talk will discuss how current research about these administrative burdens could inform our views about what a just and fair healthcare system may look like.
