Peter J. Bernard to retire as chief executive of Bon Secours Virginia of Richmond, Va., effective Aug. 31.

Mercy of Chesterfield, Mo., has centralized the leadership team of Mercy Springfield Communities, which includes eight Mercy hospitals and 70 clinics in Springfield, Mo., and surrounding communities in Missouri and Arkansas. Dr. Alan Scarrow to president of Mercy Springfield Communities, from president of Mercy Clinic Springfield Communities. Jon Swope, who served as interim president of Mercy Hospital Springfield, now returns to his role as president of Mercy’s Central Communities, covering Southwest Missouri, Arkansas and Kansas. Also, Jerry Wise to chief executive for Mercy Rehabilitation Hospital Springfield in Springfield, from chief financial officer for Mercy Rehabilitation Hospital St. Louis.

Dr. Frank Byrne has retired as president of St. Mary's Hospital of Madison, Wis. Damond Boatwright, current regional president of hospital operations in Wisconsin for SSM Health, is interim president for St. Mary's.

ADMINISTRATIVE CHANGES

Hospital Sisters Health System of Springfield, Ill., has made these changes: Dr. Christopher J. Pensinger to the system's chief medical information officer. Also, Allison Paul to executive director of HSHS St. John’s Children's Hospital and Women's Services of Springfield.

Renato "Val" Baciarelli to senior vice president for system operations and administration for PeaceHealth of Vancouver, Wash.

Ruth Goodell to senior vice president of insurance and risk management services for Trinity Health, Livonia, Mich.

Joan Kapowich to the executive for accountable care for Providence Health & Services’ Oregon division in Portland, Ore.
