Josiah "Sy" Johnson to chief executive and chief mission officer for the PeaceHealth Columbia Network, Longview and Vancouver, Wash., while continuing as chief administrative officer for PeaceHealth Southwest Medical Center, Vancouver.

Maureen Bryant to president and chief executive of Presence Saint Joseph Hospital, Elgin, Ill., while continuing her role as president and chief executive of Presence Mercy Medical Center, Aurora, Ill.

Joseph Gilene to president of Saint Joseph Hospital, Lexington, Ky., from regional vice president for Quorum Health Resources, Charlotte, N.C.

Doug Ryder to president of Holy Cross Germantown Hospital, Germantown, Md., from vice president, clinical operations and service lines with Advocate Good Shepherd Hospital in Barrington, Ill.

ADMINISTRATIVE CHANGES

Catholic Health Partners, Cincinnati, has made these changes: James E. May to chief operating officer and Dr. Brent R. Asplin to chief clinical officer.

Dennis Gonzales to vice president for mission integration for CHRISTUS Santa Rosa Health System, San Antonio.

Dr. Judi Binderman to chief medical information officer for St. Francis Medical Center, Lynwood, Calif.

Dr. Lisa Y. Harris to vice president of medical affairs and chief medical officer of Lourdes Hospital, Binghamton, N.Y.

Denise McMahon to director of people services for St. Joseph's Hospital, Chippewa Falls, Wis.

GRANTS/GIFTS

The Missouri Hospital Association has awarded the following CHA-member providers with "Grow Your Own" workforce development grants: Carondelet Health, Kansas City, Mo., $49,245; Mercy, Chesterfield, Mo., $96,612; St. Anthony's Medical Center, St. Louis, $50,000; St. Francis Hospital and Health Services, Maryville, Mo., $49,793; and St. Joseph Medical Center, Kansas City, $48,945.

A hand transplant program connected with Jewish Hospital of Louisville, Ky., part of Catholic Health Initiatives, has been awarded $850,000 through the Armed Forces Institute of Regenerative Medicine program.

Presence United Samaritans Medical Center of Danville, Ill., will use a $592,000 grant from Illinois Jobs Now to renovate the hospital's exterior.

The Carr Family Foundation of Marshall, Minn., has given $100,000 to the Avera Cancer Institute at Avera Marshall Regional Medical Center in Marshall.
