Healing, Help and A Continuum of Hope: A Day of Renewal of Enrichment will be held Feb. 15 in St. Louis.
How can we rediscover the power of hope to serve others? How do we draw strength from partners in the ministry?
Healing, Help and A Continuum of Hope: A Day of Renewal of Enrichment will explore those questions. The Feb. 15 event will held from 9 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. CT in St. Louis. The event will also be available virtually.
It will conclude with a Mass at 5:30 p.m. for World Day of the Sick, celebrated by St. Louis Archbishop Mitchell Rozanski.
The free event is open to chaplains, social workers, case managers, mission and formation leaders, clinicians and lay leaders. Continuing education credit is available.

The day will be held in conjunction with the Archdiocese of St. Louis, Catholic Charities, the National Association of Catholic Chaplains, and the Catholic Health Association of the United States.
The goals of the event are threefold:
- To nurture the spiritual life of those called to serve the church as healers in the community
- To increase the visibility and collegiality of local professional laity
- To strengthen collaborative partnerships between sponsoring Catholic ministries
The use of the phrase "continuum of hope" reflects the breadth of people who provide whole person care in Catholic ministry, including chaplains, case managers and social workers, said Jill Fisk, director of mission services for CHA.
She said the phrase "also points towards the fact that we are pilgrims on this journey of hope. Hope will never be fully realized here, but as we accompany others, the hope that is forming us can be a sign of hope for others."
Fisk added that Pope Francis has designated the 2025 jubilee year as a time to renew ourselves as pilgrims of hope.
CHA co-hosted a similar day of renewal in Seattle last year. Response was outstanding, Fisk said, and the event was a valuable way to offer support and resources to those serving Catholic ministries.

Presenters at the event include, from left, Danielle Harrison, Scott Hurd and Mike Carotta.
Presenters at the Feb. 15 event are: Danielle Harrison, manager of the St. Charles Lawanga Center of the Archdiocese of St. Louis and principal of Mission Faith Equity Consulting; Scott Hurd, vice president of leadership development and Catholic identity
for Catholic Charities USA; and Mike Carotta, author of "Whole Hearted" and with Catholic Charities USA.
Serving as panelists for a discussion titled "Partnerships for the Journey" are Hurd; Jared Bryson, president at CEO of Catholic Charities of the Archdiocese of St. Louis; Erica Cohen Moore, executive director of the National Association of Catholic Chaplains;
and Karla Keppel, mission project coordinator for CHA.
