Loyola Medicine plans $120 million outpatient center in Chicago suburbs

A new ambulatory care center in Warrenville, Illinois, just outside Chicago, is expected to break ground in 2027 and open in 2029. It will be run by Loyola Medicine, supported by a $120 million investment by Trinity Health.
A $120 million investment from Trinity Health, one of the largest outpatient investments in Loyola Medicine's history, will bring a new advanced ambulatory care center to Chicago's western suburbs, leaders announced Oct. 26.

The new center, in Warrenville, Illinois, will offer primary care and more than 30 specialties in one building.

It is intended to meet the area's growing healthcare needs and accommodate about 100,000 patient visits each year.

The nearly 100,000-square-foot, three-story building will include 60 exam rooms, an infusion center, an ambulatory surgery center, advanced imaging services and a retail pharmacy.

"Healthcare continues to move closer to where people live and work, and this investment positions Loyola Medicine to meet that demand for decades to come," Shawn P. Vincent, president and CEO of Trinity Health's Illinois/Indiana Region, said in a press release. "By bringing together primary care, specialty care, advanced imaging, ambulatory surgery and other essential services in one location, we are creating a destination that will enhance access, convenience and the patient experience throughout the region."

Pending state and local approval, the project is expected to break ground in early 2027, with the facility projected to open in 2029.
