SCL Health's board has appointed Lydia Jumonville president and chief executive of the three-state, 12-hospital system.

She had been interim president and chief executive since May. She replaced Michael Slubowski, who had resigned the posts to join Livonia, Mich.-based Trinity Health as president and chief operating officer.

At the time Jumonville accepted the interim leadership post, she was executive vice president and chief financial officer of SCL Health. Previously, she was senior vice president and chief financial officer, a job she'd held since joining the Broomfield, Colo.-based system in 2010.

Prior to SCL Health, Jumonville worked in a variety of leadership positions in finance during a nearly two-decade tenure at the former Baylor Health Care System. Before that, she worked at a Dallas office of Arthur Andersen, formerly one of the nation's big five accounting firms, consulting on tax compliance and other financial matters for clients.

She earned her bachelor's degree in accounting from Louisiana State University and is a certified public accountant.
