Sisters of Mercy Health System of Chesterfield, Mo., and its Resource Optimization & Innovation (ROi) division, have announced these changes: Vance Moore to Mercy senior vice president of operations, from ROi president and chief executive, and Gene Kirtser to ROi president and chief executive, St. Louis, from chief operating officer of ROi.
Dennis Sisto, president and chief executive, Queen of the Valley Medical Center, Napa, Calif., plans to retire in July.

Middle Tennessee Medical Center, Murfreesboro, Tenn., made the following changes: Elizabeth Lemons to chief operations officer, Pamela Hess to vice president of finance, and Martha Rowland-Tolbert to strategic division operations director.
Lydia Jumonville to senior vice president and chief financial officer, Sisters of Charity of Leavenworth Health System, Lenexa, Kan.
Mike Peters to vice president, Missouri advocacy, for the Sisters of Mercy Health System, Chesterfield.
Tony Camaratto to vice president, compensation and benefits, Catholic Health East, Newtown Square, Pa.
GRANTS AND GIFTS
Sacred Heart Hospital, Eau Claire, Wis., has received a $550,000 gift from the estate of Louis and Arlene Phillips. The gift will establish the L.L. Phillips Family Fund for Rehabilitation and Therapies.
St. Rose Dominican Hospitals, Henderson, Nev., has received two grants totaling nearly $340,000 from Susan G. Komen for the Cure of Southern Nevada. The grants will be used for the hospital's breast health programs.
AWARD
Dr. Thomas C. Royer, former chief executive, CHRISTUS Health, Irving, Texas, has received the American Hospital Association's Distinguished Service Award. This award recognizes significant lifetime contributions and service to the nation's health care institutions and associations.
ANNIVERSARY
Sisters of St. Joseph of Carondelet, St. Louis, 175 years.
