Kurt Schley to chief executive of CHI St. Alexius Health, Bismarck, N.D., from president, St. Anthony Hospital, Gig Harbor, Wash.
Unhee Kim to president of Mount Carmel St. Ann's of Columbus, Ohio, from senior vice president of ambulatory services and Summa Physicians of Akron, Ohio.
Kay L. Takes to president, Mercy Medical Center – Dubuque, Iowa, and Dyersville, Iowa, from vice president of patient care services and chief nursing officer of Mercy Medical Center – Dubuque. Takes' appointment is effective in October. She will succeed Russell M. Knight, who is retiring.
Maryann Reese has resigned as chief executive of HSHS St. Elizabeth's Hospital, Belleville, Ill. She now is executive vice president/chief operating officer of Saint Francis Healthcare System of Cape Girardeau, Mo.
Jack Friedman has retired as chief executive of Providence Health Plan of Portland, Ore. Michael White to interim chief executive, from chief operating officer of the health plan.

L. Stephen O'Neal Jr. to chief nursing officer, Saint Joseph London, London, Ky.
Troy D. Hammett to senior vice president of finance/chief financial officer of CHI Memorial of Chattanooga, Tenn.
Martin Schreiber to vice president of mission for Mercy Fort Smith in Fort Smith, Ark.
HONOR Rosland Fisher McLeod, senior vice president and chief legal officer for Broomfield, Colo.-based SCL Health, is one of nine people who received the 2015 "Legend in Law" award, which annually goes to people who excel in the role of corporate general counsel. The honor is from the Burton Awards, a national awards program established by William C. Burton, a New York law partner, to reward great achievements in law.
ANNIVERSARY Scripps Mercy Hospital, San Diego, 125 years.
GIFT Presence United Samaritans Medical Center of Danville, Ill., has received a $3 million gift from Julius W. Hegeler II to assist cancer patients, through improvement of treatment options. Hegeler made the gift in honor of his late wife, Bobette Hegeler, and the hospital will rename its cancer center in her honor.
