Respiratory Care Appreciation Week is celebrated the third week in October.
Then the Lord God formed man out of the dust of the ground and blew into man’s nostrils the breath of life, and man became a living being (Gen. 2: 7)
For the Spirit of God made me, the breath of the Almighty keeps me alive (Job 33: 4)
The God who made the world and all that is in it, the Lord of heaven and earth,
this is the One who gives to everyone life and breath and everything (Acts 17: 25)
All-powerful and ever-living God,
we see by your word that it is truly you who give us the breath of life,
that we may live in abundance for your glory.
We thank you for this most gracious gift of your life-giving breath,
and we thank you for the gifts that you have given
to all those who work in Respiratory Care.
Continue to bless them and to help them use their gifts
as they help you sustain this precious gift of breath for all those in their care.
This we pray and ask in your holy and life-giving Name.
