Tender Father,
you are the Lord of life in all its precious moments,
moments of great joy and moments of deepest sorrow.
We lift to you at this time and with deep compassion
all who have experienced the loss of new life, whether in the womb or newly born.
Soothe their hearts, holy God, and give them continuing trust
that while this world is broken, it is also blessed,
that it can be a place of new healing and fresh hope.
Bring these families together and mend their spirits.
May they discover among your people hands and hearts of companionship and care
as they journey through their grief and support one another.
We pray in the precious name of your dear Son, Jesus Christ, and in the gentle power of your Holy Spirit,
God forever and ever.
