God of faithfulness and mercy:
In the wake of tragedy, we pray for survivors, families, caregivers, first responders, and all those who tend to the brokenhearted. Sustain their strength, patience, and hope for the long road ahead. Be near to those who mourn, letting Your presence be a refuge in this time of sorrow.
As the community comes together in support of those affected, give us courage:
Not only to carry one another, serving as comfort and strength in the shadow of loss, but also to make change where needed to protect the most vulnerable.
We are the work of your hands, O God: may we love as you love, and may we find peace amid tumult in You who offers eternal peace.
