We pray in thanksgiving for our Holy Father, Pope Leo XIV. As he embarks on his ministry as Pontiff, may his faith be firm, like that of your humble servant Peter, whom he succeeds. As shepherd of the universal church, may he walk with tenderness among the people he leads. Guided by Your wisdom, may he always be attentive to those who are suffering or in need of healing—the ones You call us to serve.
We pray for the intercession of the Communion of Saints, and ask that you look with favor on Pope Leo XIV, O God, that his service may invoke communion and hope among the faithful. May we continue to authentically live out the peace and good news of Christ’s resurrection, glorifying you through our lives. We pray through our Lord Jesus Christ, Your Son, who lives and reigns with You in the unity of the Holy Spirit, one God, forever and ever.
