Healthcare Foodservice Workers Week is held each year during the second week in October.

The eyes of all creatures look to you, O Lord,
and you give them their food in due time.
You open wide your hand,
grant the desires of all who live.
(Psalm 145: 15-16)

Sustaining God,
we are your children, the work of your hands.
We have many needs of body and spirit,
and at the root of all these needs is our need for you.
Satisfy the bodily hungers of our patients, their families, and our team members.
Strengthen all who serve in our Food and Nutrition Services Department,
that they may believe that, in nourishing our bodies, they also nourish our souls.
Through their service help us know that all our hungers are hunger for you,
for your presence and power in our lives.
For all this we give you full thanks and heartfelt praise.
