Working in collaboration with ethicists throughout the ministry, CHA recently distributed recommended guidelines for competencies for ethicists at both the system and facility levels.
As part of our ongoing commitment to support the importance and development of ethics in the ministry, we are now focusing on education and training for members of ethics committees. We invite you to participate in this initiative by sharing examples from your system or ethics committee of desired competencies for your committee members and/or "curricula" for preparing and educating members for their roles on ethics committees.
We greatly appreciate your participation and will utilize these insights to develop a "model" set of competencies and curriculum that can be shared with the entire ministry. Please send your examples and materials by September 15 to rhamel@chausa.org
