CHA President and Chief Executive Officer Sr. Carol Keehan, DC, shown at far right, was among panelists at an event highlighting the contributions of faith-based organizations working to advance human well-being in the developing world. The Sept. 22 luncheon conference in Washington, D.C., was hosted by the U.S. Agency for International Development in advance of Pope Francis' visit. Sr. Carol told the audience that religious congregations working in Africa, Central America and South America are effective because they have made long-term commitments and are trusted by those they serve.
