Catholic providers shape their partners' cultures

System Mission Leadership Forum

Sr. Monica Marie Laws, OSF, vice president of mission integration at Hospital Sisters Health System in Springfield, Ill., far right, joined her peers Jan. 22-24 in San Antonio for CHA's System Mission Leadership Forum. The event focused on new models of health care delivery developing as a result of health care reform, with emphasis on aligning cultures and retaining Catholic identity. Speakers said that partnering with physician practices, vendors and non-Catholic health care providers requires intentional due diligence, discernment, proper orientation and ongoing formation to shape a desired culture.
