Mercy hospital in Cincinnati to add patient tower

Mercy Health – Anderson Hospital in Cincinnati plans to build a $75 million, seven-story patient tower that will enable the facility to convert to all-private rooms.

Slated for completion in 2014, the tower will increase Mercy Health – Anderson's bed count to 224, from 220. It will have shelled space to accommodate future growth. Gyasi Chisley, site administrator for Mercy Health – Anderson, said areas to the east of Cincinnati, where the hospital is located, are experiencing steady population increases; and the hospital wants to be ready to meet growing demand for services.

Mercy Health – Anderson is a Catholic Health Partners hospital.
