St. Mary's to replace Jefferson City, Mo., hospital by 2015

SSM HEALTH CARE

St. Mary's Health Center of Jefferson City, Mo., plans to complete a $200 million hospital replacement project by January 2015.

The new facility will have all-private patient rooms. Like the legacy campus, the replacement hospital will have 167 beds.

In designing the new campus, St. Mary's relied upon Pebble Project research. The Center for Health Design's Pebble Project promotes design elements that improve patient safety and satisfaction and promote operating efficiency. For instance, the new St. Mary's will use noise-reducing materials and soft lighting for a soothing environment.

St. Mary's broke ground on the new facility in July and has just hired a broker to sell the outmoded campus.
