Joe Gage, chief administrative officer at Bon Secours Mercy Health, will serve as chairperson of CHA's Board of Trustees for 2026-2027 beginning July 1.
In addition, CHA's membership elected Fahad Tahir, president and CEO of Ascension Saint Thomas, as vice chairperson/chairperson-elect of the board. The members also elected three new board members who were recommended by the board's governance committee: Becky Urbanski, who retired from positions with Benedictine and Duluth Benedictine Ministries; Katherine Vergos, president of the Las Vegas market of CommonSpirit Health; and Rhoda Weiss, president of Health Market Leaders.
The membership also re-elected three board members: Eduardo Conrado, president and CEO of Ascension; Dr. Marijka Grey, president of physician enterprise for the Tennessee/Georgia market of CommonSpirit Health; and Cheryl Matejka, a retired Mercy executive.
