The first episode of "Catholic Health USA," a new monthly podcast that explores topics relevant to the Catholic health care ministry, is now available.
The episode focuses on the opioid epidemic and features a discussion with Dr. Fred Rottnek, a professor and director of community medicine in Saint Louis University School of Medicine's Department of Family and Community Medicine.
The podcasts are another way for CHA to share insights and information with its members and the public.
Each episode will run about 30 minutes and delve into timely issues, providing listeners with perspectives from thought leaders.

The first podcast includes a segment in which Sr. Carol Keehan, DC, CHA's president and chief executive officer, and Dr. Rod Hochman, president and chief executive officer of Providence St. Joseph Health and chair of CHA's Board of Trustees, discuss health care disrupters.
Brian Reardon, CHA's vice president of communications and marketing, will host the podcasts, inviting CHA colleagues into the mix. In episode one, Mary Ann Steiner, the editor of Health Progress, and Clay O'Dell, the director of member advocacy, join the discussion on the opioid epidemic with Reardon and Rottnek.
The podcasts will be available for download from chausa.org/podcast, iTunes or Google Play.
