A $5 million gift to Intermountain Health St. Vincent Regional Hospital in Billings, Montana, will expand access to advanced pediatric services across Montana, Wyoming, and the western Dakotas.

The gift from The Fortin Family Foundation, announced June 23, supports a hospital campaign that has four pillars: a new hospital, advanced technology and equipment, clinical excellence and expanded services, and transformational programs. Construction on a new replacement St. Vincent hospital started last year. The projected completion is in 2029.

The Fortin Family Foundation directed its commitment to expanded pediatric services.

"The Fortin Family Foundation's extraordinary generosity reflects a deep commitment to the health and well-being of our community," Tyler Wiltgen, executive director of philanthropy at Intermountain Health St. Vincent Regional Hospital, said in a statement. "This leadership gift will strengthen our vision for world-class pediatric care and inspire others to join us in shaping a healthier future for the region."

Previous gifts from the foundation supported the creation and growth of The Fortin Pediatric Specialty Clinic in Billings, developed in collaboration with Intermountain Health Primary Children's Hospital and the University of Utah.

"Building on a long-standing commitment to St. Vincent, The Fortin Family Foundation is honored to serve as a lead partner in this transformational effort," Danielle Moore, the foundation's president, said in a statement. "We are proud to help advance a vision that will shape the future of healthcare in Montana and ensure exceptional, compassionate care for generations to come."
