PRESIDENTS/CEOS
Anthony Coleman to hospital president for Dignity Health — St. Bernardine Medical Center and Dignity Health — Community Hospital of San Bernardino, both in San Bernardino, California. These leadership roles are newly combined for the CommonSpirit Health hospitals. Coleman was president and CEO of Cedar Hill Regional Medical Center, GW Health, in Washington.

Kurt DeVaney to president of CHRISTUS Health Mount Pleasant in Texas, from chief operating officer of CHRISTUS Good Shepherd Medical Center in Longview, Texas. He succeeds Patty Boeckmann, who is retiring.

ADMINISTRATIVE CHANGES
Amanda Chawla to chief supply chain officer of Providence St. Joseph Health, effective Aug. 24.

PeaceHealth of Vancouver, Washington, has made these changes: Matt Swafford to executive vice president and chief financial officer, effective Sept. 21; and Heather McEvoy to chief philanthropy officer for PeaceHealth’s Vancouver and Longview communities.

Paul Ferguson to Central Illinois market chief operating officer for Hospital Sisters Health System.

Dan Ensell to senior vice president of mission integration for Chesterfield, Missouri-based Mercy.

Deborah Vaughn to executive director of the FMOL Health St. Dominic Foundation of Jackson, Mississippi.

GIFT AND GRANTS
CommonSpirit Health’s CHI St. Vincent has received a $5 million matching gift from Boots and Alan Warrick to support the Anthony Center for Advanced Cardiac Care at CHI St. Vincent Infirmary in Little Rock, Arkansas. The facility named the center for John Ed and Isabel Anthony, who previously donated $5 million toward the center. A press release said opening the new center will enable CHI St. Vincent to continue to expand its heart program for the most complex cases, combining inpatient and outpatient heart care services including cardiac electrophysiology and cardiothoracic surgery programs in one location. The center is to open in 2027.

The Avera Foundation has received a $1 million gift from retired First Dakota National Bank CEO Larry Ness and his wife, Dianne Ness. The gift furthers the foundation’s $7 million Building Hope Here campaign to support the construction of the Avera Cancer Institute in Yankton, South Dakota. The institute will be in the Ness Family Center. The Ness family also helped facilitate a $500,000 dollar-for-dollar match of community donations by First Dakota National Bank. When the $17 million cancer institute is complete, it will offer medical oncology, radiation oncology, chemotherapy infusion, clinical research, genetic counseling and other support services in one location.
