CHRISTUS Mother Frances Hospital in Tyler, Texas, adds way-finding feature to mobile app

CHRISTUS Mother Fraces Hospital in Tyler, Texas, has added a way-finding feature to its mobile app to help people navigate the campus.

CHRISTUS Mother Frances Hospital in Tyler, Texas, has launched a new way—finding feature to help patients and visitors navigate its campus.

The feature, inside the MyCHRISTUS mobile app, provides step-by-step directions throughout the main hospital campus, including parking areas, entrances, clinics, waiting rooms and more.

The feature allows people to save their parking location, ending the stress of trying to find it later.

"We understand that visiting a hospital can sometimes feel overwhelming, especially when you're focused on your health or a loved one's care," Samantha Mullens, vice president of hospital operations, said in a press release in late March. "This new technology is another way we are improving the patient experience by making navigation simple, intuitive and stress-free."

Once inside the app, users can select their destination, and the system updates in real time, guiding users on each step. The MyCHRISTUS app is available for download on Apple and Android devices.

Mother Frances Hospital is the only CHRISTUS hospital within the health system with such technology, a spokesman said.

The new feature is part of CHRISTUS Health's ongoing commitment to accessibility, innovation, and patient-centered care, the release said.
