Climate change is both a moral and health concern to Catholic health care
providers. Our faith and professional commitments demand prudent action to
reduce our carbon footprint in order to care for creation and protect the health
of all.
The health impacts of climate change are being felt in our
local communities and communities worldwide. This summer we again saw health
–related illness and new vector-borne diseases. Climate change also threatens
food security and contributes to chronic illness, including many respiratory
diseases.
