Health professionals' conscientious refusals have been a matter of
considerable controversy in recent years. The issue has found its way into the
media, professional conferences and journals, and legislatures across the
country. In the Context of the Ethical and Religious Directives, this webinar addressed health professionals' appeals to
conscience in the clinical setting and examined the scope and possible limits of
such claims.
