Catholic health care is a ministry and it is also a business that faces many
of the same challenges of secular, not-for-profit and for-profit health care.
The challenge for leaders of Catholic health ministry is to model ways of doing
the business of health care that influence the culture of health care in the
United States in a positive way. This requires intentional thinking and
choices.
One resource that may guide thinking on this challenge is the recently released
document by the Pontifical Council for Justice and Peace, "Vocation of the
Business Leader, A Reflection." This document offers business leaders a set of practical
principle to guide them in their service of the common good.
This webinar offers an opportunity to hear more about the origin and intent of
this important document along with practical applications.
Presenter: Michael Naughton, Ph.D., director of the John A. Ryan
