CHA's meeting, When Disasters Strike: A CHA Special Convening for International & Domestic Response, July 25-26, 2018, in Irving, Texas, is being held at the Omni Mandalay at Las Colinas Hotel and at the CHRISTUS Health offices. A block of guest rooms has been reserved at the special rate of $155. The sleep room rate includes complimentary guest room internet. WiFi will also be available at CHRISTUS Health in the general session room. To reserve your hotel room at the special group rate, please contact the hotel at (888) 444-6664. Please be sure to call to make your room reservation, and mention CHA When Disaster Strikes meeting, in order to receive our discounted rate.

Your reservation must be received by Tues., July 3, to receive the discounted rate. Reservations may be made 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. Check-in time is after 3  p.m. CT and checkout time is before noon CT. Cancellation of individual room reservations must be made 72 hours (three business days) prior to your scheduled day of arrival to avoid being charged for the first night stay.

Room reservations need to be made separately though the Omni Mandalay at Los Colinas. Registering for the program does not guarantee room availability.

Air Travel

For travel arrangements, please call CHA's travel provider, American Express, at (314) 253-3442, or email your request and identify yourself as a CHA Disaster Response Special Convening attendee. Attendees are responsible for airfare and penalties.


Cancellation Policy

To cancel your registration, contact the CHA Service Center at [email protected] or (800) 230-7823.

As this is a free event for CHA members, there is no penalty to cancel your registration, however, we would ask that you help us conserve resources by following the same week-before deadline date for cancellation as possible.

To receive a full refund of registration fees, you must cancel your registration no later than one week prior to start of the program — July 18. No refunds will be given for cancellations received less than one week prior to the start of the program. There is no charge for sending a substitute.
