    The Circle of Life Award: Celebrating Innovation in Palliative and End-of-Life Care is presented annually to honor organizations striving to improve the care provided to patients with life-threatening conditions or near the end of life. Nominations are now being accepted for the 2009 awards.

  • IRS Draft Instructions for New Form 990(posted 4/8/08)
    The IRS has issued draft instructions for the new Form 990 Schedule H. The draft instructions follow closely CHA's reporting guide on community benefit and are subject to a comment period ending June 1, 2008. CHA will be working with a team of ministry leaders to prepare comments on the draft instructions.   • Join the Health Care Reform Dialogue - Host a Roundtable (posted 4/3/08)
    Catholic health care facilities are organizing roundtable discussions to engage our communities in the important task of building a consensus for change based on shared values. CHA is offering a number of resources, including a step-by-step guide that provides the tips and templates you need to organize a values-based discussion in your community.

  • CHA Offers New Homily Service (posted 4/3/08)
    Health care is a pivotal concern for Americans and an important ministry of the church. Often, healthcare issues are complex and difficult to understand. CHA is pleased to offer a collection of five new homilies for parish priests to use during selected Sundays and feast days to help clarify these issues for parishioners.
