President/CEO
Andrew J. Bagnall to president and chief executive, St. Nicholas Hospital, Sheboygan, Wis., from chief executive, Select Specialty Hospital, Davenport, Iowa.
Administrative Changes
Deborah Schimerowski to vice president of finance and chief financial officer, Provena Covenant Medical Center, Urbana, Ill., and Provena United Samaritans Medical Center, Danville, Ill.
Susannne DeCrane to vice president of mission integration, St. Joseph Medical Center, Towson, Md.
Fr. Lawrence Dunklee to system director of ethics, Hospital Sisters Health System, Springfield, Ill.
Susan Nestor Levy to executive director, Seton Institute, the international subsidiary of Ascension Health, St. Louis. Levy continues as the health system's chief advocacy officer. At the Seton Institute, she replaces Eugene Smith, who will retire later this year. The Seton Institute is moving from Daly City, Calif., to St. Louis.
Grants/Gifts
St. Elizabeth Medical Center, Utica, N.Y., received a $297,145 grant from Health Research, Inc., to implement a point-of-care bar code medication administration system, the AdminRx System.
Providence St. Peter Hospital, Olympia, Wash., and Providence Centralia Hospital, Centralia, Wash., received an $83,700 combined grant from the Regence Foundation to expand palliative care services.
Providence General Foundation, Everett, Wash., received a $38,550 grant from the Employees Community Fund of Boeing Puget Sound for the Providence Regional Medical Center Everett clinic's second expansion. The grant will help purchase furniture and equipment for an exam room, nurses' stations and office and meeting rooms.
Honors/Awards
St. Vincent Health, Indianapolis, was named a finalist of the prestigious 2009 Foster G. McGaw Prize for Excellence in Community Service.
Roslyn Brock, vice president for advocacy and government relations, Bon Secours Health System, Marriottsville, Md., was named board chair of the National Association for the Advancement of Colored People.
