A Dignity Health family medicine
center in Sacramento has created a safe haven medicine residency clinic. It
serves the dual purpose of providing medical care for human trafficking victims
and training future physicians to recognize and treat victims. This
session described why and how the clinic got started and presented a model
for replicating the center in other communities, using guidance from the 2017
Human Trafficking Leadership Academy.
