There is a direct relationship between
the quality of our environment and the health of our communities. Embarking on a
strategy for environmental responsibility not only responds to Catholic health
care's mission to care for creation but also protects and promotes public
health. This webinar focused on how
environmental hazards jeopardize the health of persons at every stage of life.
Our guide on the public health implications of the
environment was nationally known physician, researcher and writer, Ted
Schettler, MD, MPH, who coauthored an important new report from Greater Boston
Physicians for Social Responsibility/Science and Environment Network,
"Environmental Threats to Healthy Aging."
