Presenters explained the research results and introduced the 22 leading practices—including eight critical, high-impact leading practices every hospital and health system should adopt when starting or enhancing a medical surplus recovery program—and shared insight into the practices’ practical application and adoption by health care organizations. These results and practices are included in CHA’s international outreach resource offering, Responsible Redistribution of Medical Supplies and Equipment: Leading Practices for Hospitals and Health Systems.
