CHA is once again going virtual with our highly regarded Community
Benefit 101 program. Like in 2020, the program will provide new community
benefit professionals and others who want to learn about community benefit with
the foundational knowledge and tools needed to meet today’s challenges.
CHA has blocked out 2:00 - 5:00 p.m. each day on three days
– October 12, 13, 14 – for virtual programming. Through video
presentations, live chat and commentary provided by community benefit leaders,
online opportunities to connect and more – CHA will provide the basics of
community benefit, access to practical tools and resources, as well as timely
public policy updates.
This virtual gathering will provide many of the same benefits of our
in-person meeting and more:

Who Should Attend
While it is designed for new community benefit professionals, the new
virtual format now makes this meeting accessible to a wider audience, including:
Staff in mission, finance/tax, population health, strategic
planning, diversity and inclusion, communications, government relations, and
compliance who want to learn about the important relationship of their work
and community benefit/community health.
Veteran community benefit staff who want a refresher course to
update them on current practices, inspire future activities and connect with
others in nonprofit health care practitioners doing this
CHA will send each
participant a package containing the Guide and additional materials.
To receive this package in advance of the program, your registration will need to
have been received by Sept. 28. After Sept.
28, while you will still receive a package, we cannot guarantee it will get to
you prior to the program. Registrants will receive an electronic version of the
Guide prior to the program start.
There will be an opportunity in
the registration process to provide a shipping address to receive this package. If one is
not provided, we will use the shipping address we have on
