Sr. Mary Giovanni, CSSF, has retired from Angela Hospice in Livonia, Mich. Sr. Giovanni founded the hospice in 1985 and served as president and chief executive until 2014.

GRANTS SSM Health at Home has won a $5 million grant from the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services to fund its participation in a program that allows Medicare beneficiaries to receive both hospice and curative care simultaneously, rather than one or the other. Nearly 140 hospices nationwide will participate in the five-year demonstration of the Medicare Care Choices Model.
