Jack Weiner, president and chief executive of St. Joseph Mercy Oakland in Pontiac, Mich., announced his retirement effective June 30. Weiner has led the hospital since 2003.

AWARD
Sr. Judith Ann Karam, CSA, chair of CHA's board of trustees and congregational leader of the Sisters of Charity St. Augustine, received the Excellence Award from the Health Legacy of Cleveland at its award and scholarship dinner on Oct. 11.

GIFT
St. Mary's Healthcare of Amsterdam, N.Y., has received a gift of $1 million from Dr. Govind Rao and his wife, Jyothi Rao, for construction of a cancer center that will be named the Rao Outpatient Pavilion.
