Cris Daskevich to chief executive of the Children's Hospital of San Antonio and senior vice president of maternal services for the CHRISTUS Health system in the U.S. and Latin America. She will assume the role Feb. 19. Daskevich was a senior vice president at Texas Children's Hospital in Houston. The Children's Hospital of San Antonio has a dyad leadership model. Daskevich will co-lead the facility with Dr. Charles Hankins, who last month became president and chief medical officer of the hospital and a CHRISTUS senior vice president. Daskevich and Hankins were part of a 15-year dyad working relationship at Texas Children's.
ADMINISTRATIVE CHANGES
Saint Joseph Mercy Health System in southeast Michigan and Mercy Health in west Michigan — both part of Trinity Health — have unified as a statewide system. That system has identified this executive team:
- Mary Boyd to chief integration officer, overseeing strategy and business development and selected services across Michigan.
- Sally Guindi to general counsel. She had led legal and governance for Saint Joseph Mercy.
- Michael Gusho to chief financial officer of the statewide system. He had held the role at Saint Joseph Mercy and on an interim basis for Mercy Health of West Michigan.
- Ane McNeil to chief human resources officer. She'd held that role for Saint Joseph Mercy previously.
- Michele Szczypka to chief marketing and communications officer. She's held the role with Saint Joseph Mercy previously.
- Dr. Rosalie Tocco-Bradley to chief clinical officer. She'd been chief medical officer for selected hospitals within the system and was chief clinical officer for Saint Joseph Mercy. She'll now have oversight of the unified system's key clinical activities on a statewide level.

GIFT
PeaceHealth Southwest Medical Center of Vancouver, Wash., has received a $1.2 million donation from local businessman Don Heimbigner and his family. A PeaceHealth Southwest infusion center will be named the Elaine and Don Heimbigner Oncology Infusion Center. Elaine Heimbigner died of cancer in 2016. The donation is the first major gift in the medical center's $10 million Cancer Care Campaign. The goal is to fund a renovation of inpatient cancer services, create a charity fund for cancer patients and to locate the infusion center with a radiation center.
