Gary P. Miller to interim president and chief executive, St. Alexius Medical Center, Bismarck, N.D., from senior vice president and chief financial officer. Miller replaces Andrew Wilson, who resigned.

Caritas Christi Health Care, Brighton, Mass., has made the following changes: Jeffrey Liebman to president, Good Samaritan Medical Center, Brockton, Mass., from president and chief executive, Beth Israel Deaconess Hospital – Needham, Mass., and Bill Walczak to president, Carney Hospital, Dorchester Center, Mass., from chief executive, Codman Square Health Center, Dorchester.

ADMINISTRATIVE CHANGES

Joyce Young to chief nursing officer and vice president of patient care services, Saint Joseph Mercy Health System, Ypsilanti, Mich.

Troy Thibodeaux to chief operations officer, Covenant Health System, Lubbock, Texas.

GRANTS AND GIFTS

The United States Department of Agriculture's Distance Learning and Telemedicine Program has awarded the following grants: Avera Health, Sioux Falls, S.D., received three grants totaling $1.1 million to provide education, training and health care resources in rural areas, and St. Alexius Medical Center, Bismarck, N.D., received a $302,000 grant to expand access to health care services in rural areas.
