PRESIDENTS/CEOS
Leslie Hirsch to interim chief executive of Saint Peter's Healthcare System of New Brunswick, N.J., succeeding Ronald C. Rak. Hirsch will continue as president of the system.

Montez Carter to president of St. Mary's Hospital in Athens, Ga., from president of St. Mary's Good Samaritan Hospital of Greensboro, Ga., and vice president of operations for St. Mary's Health Care System of Athens.

Michael E. "Mick" Gibbs to president of Avera Heart Hospital, Sioux Falls, S.D. He also will be cardiac and vascular service line leader for Avera Health of Sioux Falls.

Henry Hummel to chief executive of Indianapolis-based TriMedx, a clinical engineering and medical equipment management services company. St. Louis' Ascension has an interest in the TriMedx joint venture.

Kate Reed to president of St. Joseph's Children's Hospital and St. Joseph's Women's Hospital in Tampa, Fla., effective May 1. Reed most recently was senior vice president and chief strategy officer for Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center in Boston.

ADMINISTRATIVE CHANGE
Dr. Sam Bagchi to senior vice president/chief medical officer and chief medical information officer for CHRISTUS Health of Irving, Texas.

GIFT/GRANT
French Hospital Medical Center of San Luis Obispo, Calif., has received a gift of 
$5.5 million from Peter and Mary Beth Oppenheimer — the largest gift in the hospital's history. The gift will help fund a new emergency department that the hospital will call the Oppenheimer Family Center for Emergency Medicine at French Hospital Medical Center. The hospital will break ground on the $13 million center in spring 2018. Peter Oppenheimer is a former chief financial officer for Apple Inc.
