Kids receiving care in the emergency department at St. Louis' Mercy Children's Hospital can get an extra dose of bravery by donning capes made and donated by a family whose son Cody, second from right, was treated at the facility.
The Spears family's gift was inspired by Cody's love of superhero capes and by the care provided by patient care technician Hugh Sprague, third from right, and other Mercy caregivers.
Here, Cody's siblings join him and Sprague in modeling the capes.
