PRESIDENTS/CEOS
Facilities within Livonia, Mich.-based Trinity Health have announced these changes: Virginia L. Golden to chief executive of St. Peter's Hospital and Albany Memorial Hospital, both of Albany, N.Y., and vice president of Albany acute care for St. Peter's Health Partners of Albany. She was chief integration officer for St. Peter's Health Partners.

Al Gutierrez will retire as president and chief executive of Trinity Health's Saint Joseph Health System of Mishawaka, Ind., effective Dec. 31. A committee plans to complete its search for his replacement by December. Kathryn Howe Ruscitto will retire at the end of this year as president and chief executive of St. Joseph's Health of Syracuse, N.Y. A national search for Ruscitto's replacement began last month. Kevin J. Sexton will retire as president and chief executive of Holy Cross Health of Silver Spring, Md., and as president and chief executive of the Maryland region of Trinity Health. As Catholic Health World went to press, Holy Cross' board and Trinity Health had plans to announce Sexton's successor in April.

Betsy Aderholdt will retire as Ascension Mid-Michigan president, effective June 30. Chris Palazzolo, Genesys Health System president, will replace Aderholdt effective July 1. Genesys is based in Grand Blanc, Mich.

Dr. Ann Errichetti to chief operations and academic officer for Presence Health of Chicago, from chief executive, St. Peter's Hospital and Albany Memorial Hospital, both of Albany, and vice president of Albany acute care for St. Peter's Health Partners. At Presence, she will oversee acute care strategy, growth and operations and will have leadership responsibility for Presence Health's Resurrection University and Graduate Medical Education Program.

Dr. Stewart Watson plans to resign as president of Dean Clinic in Madison, Wis., effective April 8. Dr. John Rose, chair of the Dean Health Systems Board of Directors, will serve as interim president. St. Louis-based SSM Health, Dean's parent company, will undertake a national search for a permanent replacement.

ADMINISTRATIVE CHANGES
David Whitaker to chief administrative officer of the new South Oklahoma City Division of Mercy Health System. He was president and chief executive for Norman Regional Health System in Norman, Okla.

Dominic Dominguez to senior vice president of group operations for CHRISTUS Spohn Health System of Corpus Christi, Texas, and CHRISTUS Santa Rosa Health System of San Antonio.

GIFTS AND GRANTS
St. Joseph's Health of Syracuse, N.Y., has received a $20 million grant from the State of New York's Essential Health Care Provider Support Program. The "Healthcare Delivery System Innovators" grant will expand access to care in the community, particularly for people insured through Medicaid.

HSHS St. John's Children's Hospital of Springfield, Ill., has received a $100,000 donation from Dr. Chad and Megan DeFrain, for a renovation of the neonatal intensive care unit. The DeFrains said their daughter Lucy, now 6 years old, survived as a premature newborn "because of the excellent care she received" in the unit.
