Feast of St. Luke

On Oct. 18, Catholics and other Christians around the world will celebrate the feast of St. Luke, the physician and companion of St. Paul whose gospel preserved the most extensive biography of Jesus Christ. This day is an important opportunity for Catholic health care to honor physicians for their compassionate, quality care. To assist in this, CHA is pleased to offer several resources for your use and sharing:

Physician Examen Card

The Examen exercise by Saint Ignatius offers physicians a means for reflection after a shift or at the end of the day. It is available in hardcopy as a card or downloadable 8.5 x 11 page, as a video reflection to post on intranets and also as an MP3 audio file that can be used on commutes, while working out or at the end of the day.

The Physician Tryptic – a Blessing

This card, ready for order and sharing, offers a blessing for physicians. So that you can share it electronically, it is also available as a downloadable MP4 file for social, email and electronic message boards and communications.
