We Are Called Webinar Series - Session 4: Lessons from COVID-19 Social Disparities and Health Care

Presented on April 20, 2022
The benefits of having a diverse board are clear — broader perspectives lead to deeper discussions, more comprehensive thinking and fewer missteps in implementing new programs and services for our communities, especially the underserved and vulnerable populations. And yet, a recent study shows that on average, health care boards are comprised of 87% white members and only 13% people of color.

In this webinar, the fourth in the We Are Called Webinar Series, Angel Alisedo Alonso, Johns Hopkins University researcher for the Center for Applied Public Research, will explore the data on COVID-19 as it relates to social disparities of health in order to understand how this pandemic has affected the most vulnerable members of our society.
