This webinar offers a theology of caring for the environment that provides insight into why those in Catholic ministry should be especially mindful of this global challenge and attentive to corrective measures, as well as highlights current issues and what Catholic and other health care organizations can do to mitigate the problem. The webinar was sponsored by CHA - in cooperation with Catholic Health Initiatives (CHI), Denver; Covenant Health Systems, Lexington, MA; and Trinity Health, Novi, MI, - through receipt of a grant from the National Religious Partnership for the Environment (NRPE) and the Catholic Coalition on Climate Change. Speakers included Sr. Catherine O/Connor, CSB, Ph.D., vice president of mission and sponsorship at Covenant Health Systems in Lexington, Mass. and Gary Cohen, founder and co-executive director of Health Care Without Harm and executive director of the Environmental Health Fund.
