A Catholic Health System's Comprehensive Approach to Addressing Human Trafficking

Presented on January 9, 2019
Human trafficking is a form of modern-day slavery. Force, fraud, or coercion are used to trap victims into commercial sex or forced labor. Victims are children, teenagers, women, and men. The Catholic health ministry is committed to helping victims of human trafficking by raising awareness of the issue in their organizations and training clinicians to be alert to signs that their patients can be victims of human trafficking.

This webinar will describe Catholic Health Initiatives' multifaceted, organizational approach to addressing this issue. Components of the approach include education and awareness, public policy activism, socially responsible investing, contracting, community-based initiatives and partner collaboration.
