The Mission Integration Director provides leadership and support in planning, developing, directing and evaluating organizational efforts to integrate the mission and values into every aspect of the system, from the long-term strategic planning to day-to-day operations of front-line staff. Primary responsibilities include planning, implementing and monitoring the efforts of SIH as they apply to the awareness, integration and effectiveness of mission and values. Responsible for planning and directing the Mission and Values Teams (MVT) and the Spiritual Care programs.
Provides and oversees experiences in meaningful and measurable ways and in a variety of formats with leaders, physicians, and staff to help them integrate the mission and values into their decisions and day-to-day work.
Plans, develops and delivers specialized programs and education related to mission and values integration, Ethical and Religious Directives, spirituality and other needs as they arise.
Provides guidance, consultation and assistance to leaders in understanding and fulfilling their responsibility for mission integration into their area of service.
Provides leadership to develop the Spiritual Care team to meet the needs of the organization. Ensures the availability and on-going improvement of spiritual care services across the system.
Leads the Ethics Committees across the system. Ensures the availability of ethics education and consultation at the system and local levels.
Bachelor's degree with an emphasis in Theology, ethics, spirituality, behavioral science, philosophy or related field required. Master's degree preferred.
Minimum of 5 years or progressive management and leadership experience in healthcare required.
Ability to articulate and apply Ethical and Religious directives.
Effective communicator with the ability to work collaboratively with diverse internal and external constituencies.
