  • Metro subway from DCA — take Blue line to Metro Center, switch to Red line and take Red line to Woodley Park stop (in direction of Shady Grove) OR take Yellow line to Gallery Place/Chinatown, then switch to Red line and take Red line to Woodley Park stop (in direction of Shady Grove)

Washington Dulles International Airport — IAD

  • Approximately 25 miles from airport to hotel

  • To use Metro subway, you will need to take a bus from IAD to the Wiehle station on the Silver line. Take Silver Line to Metro Center, switch to Red line and take Red line to Woodley Park stop (in direction of Shady Grove)

Baltimore/Washington International Thurgood Marshall Airport — BWI 

  • Approximately 37 miles from airport to hotel

  • Train travel is possible but time consuming, especially on weekends
  • From BWI, take an airport shuttle bus (from outside the luggage area) to the Amtrak train station. Take the Amtrak train to Washington Union Station. When you arrive at Union Station, go downstairs to access the Metro. Take a red line train (toward Shady Grove) to Woodley Park metro station. Go to the Amtrak website to find Amtrak train schedules between BWI and Union Station and to purchase tickets.
